Staff Safety Audit

Aaheli Foundation offers a comprehensive Staff Safety Audit, also known as the Staff Personal Safety Practice Improvement Review Process, to help organizations evaluate and strengthen their workplace safety systems. The audit assesses existing policies, procedures, and practices against the requirements of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) and recognized best practices. At the conclusion of the review, organizations receive practical recommendations to enhance compliance, improve safety systems, and foster a more respectful and inclusive workplace. The implementation of these recommendations remains the responsibility of the organization.

Audit Process
Self-Evaluation

Organizations begin by completing a structured Safety Diagnostic Tool developed by Aaheli Foundation. This self-assessment provides an initial overview of current workplace safety systems, policies, and practices.

Documentation and Process Review

Our team conducts a detailed review of organizational documentation, including POSH policies, Internal Committee records, reporting procedures, investigation protocols, awareness initiatives, training schedules, and other relevant safeguarding practices. Standard operating procedures are evaluated to assess alignment with legal requirements and organizational objectives.

Stakeholder Interactions

Interactive discussions are conducted with representatives from management, employees, and support staff to assess awareness of workplace safety policies, reporting mechanisms, and responsibilities under the POSH Act. These sessions also help identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.

Internal Committee Review

Aaheli Foundation meets with members of the Internal Committee (IC) to review governance practices, documentation, case management procedures, and previous complaint-handling processes, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and best practices.

Verbal Feedback

At the conclusion of the on-site review, the audit team presents preliminary observations, key findings, and recommendations to organizational leadership, providing immediate guidance on priority areas for improvement.

Comprehensive Audit Report

Within one week of the review, Aaheli Foundation delivers a detailed audit report outlining observations, compliance status, identified risks, strengths, and practical recommendations for strengthening workplace safety systems and organizational culture.

Post-Audit Support

Where required, Aaheli Foundation provides ongoing advisory support to assist organizations in implementing recommendations, strengthening policies and procedures, developing training programs, improving Internal Committee functioning, and establishing sustainable workplace safety systems that promote dignity, accountability, and legal compliance.
